I watched this video to find out how to cork a bat, not to watch an old fart preaching of the legality of it. Who gives a shit. Everyone cheats, every where, in every sport. It is the only way to break a record these days Period!.

@vineet123kumar123 because if you buy a bat thats lighter it will be shorter. or a bat with a smaller barrel. dumb asses these days

@lesliekwan80 You wouldn't just use a lighter bat because a lighter bat = a smaller bat, a smaller bat = a smaller sweet spot, therefore giving you less room to make solid contact.
go back to the kitchen.

I was replying to you...who said it transfers more energy into the ball?

@lesliekwan80 hahah..I was only replying to lesliekwan80
who said "I'm guessing the people who think corking a bat somehow transfers more energy into the ball hasn't watched MythBusters."
The guy (who I think is an idiot) says that it does not ball the ball go further.
The reason someone would cork a bat is- they get used to a certain length of bat and diamater and already use the lightest wood available. Then making contact, they hit the sweetspot of the bat with a higher bat speed.

@ScottyHale , of course it increases bat speed because it's lighter. So why not just use a lighter bat? There is nothing in the rule book that prevents a player from simply using a lighter uncorked bat.

@lesliekwan80 I'm guessing you didn't watch the video. He said it increases bat speed.
