Here are 8 great ideas for that youth baseball season ending party:

1. Hot Dogs and Soda at the field This is an informal and appropriate fitting to the end of the season. Team gets a bunch of food from the concession stand at the ballpark. I don't recommend as the good bye but a good time to poll the parents and players for a final informal date.

2. Pizza party Coaches, parents and players will have a great time recapping the season. It's also a great time for the manager to talk about the individual and team achievements made.

3. Batting cages and Putt-Putt Golf Why not spend a couple hours at the Putt Putt Golf course. And of course, hit some balls in the cages.

4. Have a party at the movie theater Many movie theaters now provide a package for parties that include pizza, drinks, snacks and a movie. Lots of fun!

5. Have a Barbecue Everyone loves a barbecue. Combine that with a volleyball game, wiffleball game, or even a swim (if a pool is available). What a great way for the parents to have fun too!

6. Attend Minor League Baseball game Many minor league baseball teams will arrange a special day for your team. They will be allowed on the field before the game, get introduced by the announcer and run out to the field, and get primo seats. My team did this last year at a Newark Bears game and it was an absolutely outstanding evening. To hear each players name called and then run out to the field for the playing of the National Anthem - I get chills thinking about it right now.

7. Players vs Coaches and Parents WiffleBall Game This really is so much fun. Reserve the league field for a couple of hours and let everyone get involved. From experience the kids loved this - lots of laughs and a really fun time.

8. Major League Baseball game (cheap seats) Here is an activity may cost a pretty penny but if you can afford to go there is nothing like the real thing. Keep a close eye on the kids if you do go.

Whichever activity you select the memories will live forever.
